It’s a material with small, uniform pores that are used to adsorb gases as well as liquids. Other than common filters, the molecular sieve operates on a molecular level. It adsorbs molecules that are small enough to pass through the pores, such as water molecules. Because of which molecular sieve is used as a desiccant, which can absorb water up to 21% of its weight. Molecular sieve often consists of zeolites, clays, aluminosilicate minerals, active carbons, synthetic compounds, etc. that have pores from which small molecules can pass through.
Applications:-
- 4 to 8 mesh sieve is ideal for gas phase applications,
- 8 to 12 mesh sieve is perfect for liquid phase applications.
- The powder forms of the 3A, 4A, 5A and 13X sieves are used in specialized applications.

Molecular Sieve MS-3A
Its pore size is 3A; this molecular sieve does not adsorb any molecule larger than 3A. which is best suitable for adsorbing cracked gasses, ethylene and propylene in the fields of the deep drying, refinery polymerization.
It can also be used in adsorbing any other non-acidic gasses of liquids in petroleum and chemical industries.
Molecular Sieve MS-4A
It is used as an adsorbent for water, sulfurated hydrogen, carbon dioxide methanol, ethylene, ethanol, and propylene. As these molecular sieve adsorbs molecules which are not larger than 4A, more precisely it can be used as a desiccant.
Molecular Sieve MS-5A
Our 5A small oxygen molecular sieves are specially designed for medical or healthy oxygen generators as such a mini PSA plant for medical applications. Because of its high purity of oxygen concentration and long life span, it has elevated use in the medical care field.
Molecular Sieve MS-13X
They are a sodium form of type X crystal and contain pores of large size which adsorb molecules with a diameter of less than 9 Angstrom, while not adsorbing larger molecules that are widely used as a desiccant for medical and air compressor systems. In addition to this 13x molecular sieve can be adjusted to accommodate other applications as well.
