The problem
Automotive parts move constantly between suppliers, plants and countries, often as CKD kits with hundreds of bare machined surfaces in one container. A single humid crossing produces flash rust that fails inspection on a just-in-time line.
Protect the part and the container separately. Sachets sized to the carton keep the immediate enclosure below the corrosion threshold; container desiccant stops the condensation cycle that would otherwise saturate them.
