Sodium zeolite, 10 Å pore
Molecular Sieve 13X
Sodium X zeolite for gas purification and drying, regenerating at 250–300 °C.
Large pore size for gas purification duty
3A, 4A, 5A and 13X zeolites for applications where silica gel cannot drive the humidity low enough.
Indicators, Absorbers & Sieves
Dries far below the level silica gel can reach
Silica gel is excellent between roughly 30% and 90% relative humidity. Below that it gives up its water reluctantly and its capacity collapses. Molecular sieve is the opposite: a crystalline zeolite with a uniform pore size that holds tightly at very low humidity, which is why it appears in insulating glass, refrigerant circuits and gas purification rather than in cartons.
| Types | 3A, 4A, 5A, 13X |
|---|---|
| Adsorption | Approx. 21% of own weight |
| Gas phase grade | 4 – 8 mesh |
| Liquid phase grade | 8 – 12 mesh |
Custom sizes are routine. If none of the standard weights suit your enclosure, tell us the dimensions and we will quote an odd size, a different pouch material, or printed pouches to your artwork.
