Regenerable in service — heat for two hours and refit
Any oil-filled or vented plant breathes as it heats and cools, and every breath pulls humid air across the oil. A breather intercepts that air. The indicating gel is visible through the body, so a maintenance walk-round is enough to judge condition, and the charge can be regenerated at about 150 °C for two hours rather than replaced.
