Indicating performance without cobalt chloride
Orange silica gel exists for one reason: many regulated markets will not accept cobalt chloride, but still want a desiccant that visibly announces when it is spent. This grade shifts from orange to green as it loads, with a high surface area of 700–800 m²/g and tightly specified pore structure.
